Help... Im not sure where to begin.
My 2005 big dog has been running trouble free (1900 miles) since I fixed the air ride and replaced the clutch. Minus a few burned out headlights. Anyway, today while driving on the highway, it started to backfire and the odometer began to flash.. then it suddenly powered off. After pulling over, I checked under the seat to fined the positive battery terminal was disloged. I seems to have melted the lead on the battery itself. I took out the key and attempted to connect the cables to the positive terminal and the starter engaged. (without touching the start button). each time i touch the red power wire to the battery the bike tries to turn over... No lights on the odometer except flashing hazzards...
Any ideas...
Please help
