This is the e-mail sent to the shop that worked on my bike>>>>. We rode Saturday afternoon. This is the first time I have ridden the bike since I got it back .. We pulled into a store after I felt the seat getting hot and smelling something burning. The battery was overheating and the black boxes that was replaced, (I think its called it a function control module ,part # 's 13013&13014), was smoking and about the catch fire. I pulled out the battery and took the hold-down screw out of the module because I was afraid it would catch the bike on fire. The battery was extremely hot, and so was the module. I cooled the battery down with ice. When the battery and the module was cool, I put the battery in and turned the switch on. The horn started blowing and all the lights came on. I disconnected a wire on one leg of the horn. I did not attempt to start the bike. The same thing that it did before. None of the blinkers work and the brake light stays on. Same things as before.I called my friends to bring a trailer to come and get me.(40 miles). I need to find out what is going on with this bike. I'm sure that it is possible to have replaced the old, damaged modules with new "bad" or "faulty" modules. Installed two different modules and a new battery and a new headlight bulb.($1010.45 worth) By you having a reputable shop, I'm sure you will help me. I need to get the bike back up there to you so we can resolve this issue. You can call me at 256/777/9244, or e-mail me at
