Headlight Aim

My riding buds are telling me that they can't see my headlight very well when I am behind them. They think it may be aimed too low. How do I aim/adjust or check this?

Loosen the pivots bolt between the bucket and bracket on bottom, move it up to your needs.

BTW does it meet your needs now, the guys in front not seeing your light does not necessarily mean it is bad. Do not want to get it too high and blinding other with the low on.

Also be careful when re-tighting the pivot bolts not to over tighten, the outer legs of the mount that go to bucket are cast or biller aluminum and can snap pretty easy if you over tighten.

or you could get the HID set up from Jake - if they can't see that they shouldn't be riding a bike.

:zz2cents: Excuse me for butting in Fibersnake, but you left out a couple of steps:
1.Adjust your headlight while on low beam!
2.Before adjusting anything, measure from the ground to the center of the headlight and mark a spot on a wall or fence. Back your bike 20 feet from the mark and center the beam on your mark, tighten everything back up and ride!

Not a problem DV, never did the formal way, but it is good to know. Appreciate it as I am sure others will also. :flag:

I use the high beam during the day and it seems to solve the same problem you have. That way I know the low beam is not to bright at night. Just my .02
