I am looking for some pointers on a head light problem, I have replaced many bulbs recently. I have checked the plug and tried many different bulbs and same problem. the low beam will burn out and run on high beam for who knows how long then eventually it will burn also. any help would be great.

check voltage at head lamp bulb, engine at idle and 2.000 rpm. may have regulater going bad,
also check and if you want to as test, ground it straight to the battery ground [are thay both the same!]
then check voltage again.
check for bulb/head lamp vibration!!!
hope this helps ian

You need to verify the bulb your putting in is for motorcycles, vibration resistant. I would also check connections at the plug. Is it plastic or ceramic?
