Yep - worth checking these mounts and bolts. Don't over torque. Had a mount crack a couple years ago and would never have known if I didn't take the bolts out.

The headlight bolts on my '05 Chopper have broken numerous times. In fact, I began carrying a spare mount and bolts for when it happens. And believe me, I had to use them several times.

I finally had the bright idea of simply replacing the bolt every other oil change. It's simply not a matter of "IF" it breaks, as much as "WHEN"!

One of the old ones.
I have an '08 K-9. My mount has 2 bolts and suddenly had my headlight pointing about 30 degrees to the left--very weird..... Thought the bolt fell out, but it was snapped off. Got it home and Blacktopper easily removed it for replacement. I think the headlight housing is placed too far forward which places a lot of pressure on the rear mount bolt. Maybe a smaller housing?
