05 and later Big Dog has a one off transmission form Baker. Their are no other just bolt in transmissions I know of. Primary is differnet as well standard HD stye primary. Starter would be up higher and most likely would have to mod the side covers, batt box and oil tank. Transmission mounting plates are different as well. :hi:
The 03 has a 1.5" offset. I would mount the motor and the transmission and mount your primary to the transmission then measure your offset on your motor using lazer levels to help get it perfectly aligned. Primo makes different offset bushings

In 03 it depends on the frame .I beleive.
RT was 1 1/2" offset .
Daytec was 1 9/16".

My consern for BDThunder is . . . is the tranny and primary of
the 05 Chopper the same as the Ridgeback , if he goes with this set up from JK1.

The evo is a bullet proof motor. I bought a 96 ultra with a bad motor as I already stated in a different thread. When I went back together. Andrews 27 cam, adjustable push rods, sent the heads to Kendal Johnson. He decked the heads .010, polished and reworked the valve guides. We kept the smaller valves to increase torque, and he supplied me with a higher compression piston. [ ended up with 10.5-1 ] . Wired in a Power commander, larger injectors and a high psi oil pump. Also mounted a 2 into 1 Thunder header. Not only does it sound perfect for an Ultra Classic, it is 5 easy HP and you are just bolting it on! Put 100 miles on the motor to break it in then went to the Dyno. A solid 98 HP. Not bad for a 80" motor!
