Hard to put in neutral

It is very hard to get my dog into neutral at a light or when i want to park it. I need to turn it off so that neutral kicks in easy. Why is this?

clutch needs adjusting, there are a couple of threads on how to

The Heim joints on the shifter rod ends are probably needing to be lubricated.

Remove the shifter linkage and grease the Heim ends and re-install.

That should fix the issue.

If you do remove the Heim joints completely from the shiter linkage. Make sure that the ends are aligned as if they are not they will cause the linkage to bind.

Mine is like that too,, I thought that was just the way it was,, easy to get in neutral when it isn't running but kinda tough , not impossible when tis running,, real easy when not running actually.

Not that I have any troubles finding nuetral... but, its a lot easier winging the throttle a little bit with the clutch in while your still rolling before you come to a stop. drops right in for me everytime
