hard to no start

Energy One
2006 Big Dog Ridgeback 13k miles. Just repaired starter trigger wire from being broken off bad solder joint. cleaned all cables. when i go to start bike and starter makes a clicking to a somewhat grinding noise. checked battery voltage with voltmeter 11.5volts. I suspect a bad battery but also maybe a bad EHC or compression releases, Because i can hook a car battery to bike battery, starter engages better and if i remove spark plugs engine turns over like a champ?..?:bang: I have no Big Dog dealers where i am located as I am currently stationed in Guam.. Can anyone please help me? Thank you

from what info you are giving you do need a battery for sure, should be in mid 12 volt range, I am pretty sure you can take your finger and put into hole in top center of each cyl. and push down to help the pressure release if you have a 117. hope this help, later I am heading to daytona.
