Mike, I don't think I'll see Master Gunns before I retire.

It was a great day though My Marines being some of the best guys I've ever served with. Hooked me up with these tokens of their appreciation:

Congratz Brad and welcome to the top 3% of the enlisted force. I am not sure about the Marines, but in the Air Force E-8 is the hardest stripe to earn with a very low promotion rate.

Tim, as far as my Marines opinion of me? I guess you'll have to ask them. I just did my best to ensure they came home, and to keep the BS from higher from raining down on them. What I do know is I will miss leading Marines at the Platoon level

PaulDeepsea, it always a pleasure seeing my Marines get promoted, and an even bigger honor when they ask me to pin their new chevrons on.

RuDawg, All I know is the higher your move up the harder it gets, I would say First Sergeant is probably the most competitive, if you want to go that route.
