Bike sits over night, starts fine, get about a mile or a little over then shuts down. Recycle key say a couple of choice words and restart and runs all day. Well it has been starting. This is not a new, it started i guess last riding season, guess just it thought it was the gas cap (vacumming ?) the gas flow to carb.
Monday took it out without air cleaner and when it shut down, got off and it pumped fuel when i turned the throttle (thinking the carb was dry and run out of gas).

Can bet my SS check that it will do it today..

Need all the .02 i can get.

See you at the wall

Insert title here...
... when it shut down, got off and it pumped fuel when i turned the throttle ...
Turning the throttle will add gas via the accelerator pump but that doesn't mean the float bowl isn't low (as in tank cap vent).

Since the bike does it once then runs all day have you checked your float to see if it's sticking?

If the bike just shuts down in a quick second then it sounds electrical, if it were starving for fuel I would think it would do some sputtering before finally shutting down.

Shane from BDM says cam plate sensor. Also replacing ignition module (led display not on). Shane reports that he has heard of a few cases in which the cam sensor does not like the cold on these dogs, as in HD don'y like the heat.. Got on order will update after install.
