If you want to bleed brakes or change brake fluid... this is a great way to do it without tricky pumps and vacuums and things that require a science degree to use...

Our sizes
front 1/4-28 x .921"
Rear 3/8-24 x 1.19"

Got that website from Goodridge themselves. They sell them by thread size not bike model. The prices are for sets so you can split the cost with a fellow dog owner.

Racer Parts Wholesale - SpeedBleeders

You will order for the front SB1428 & rear SB3824

The speed bleeders are a replacement to your bleeders. It has a check vlv in it. After you replace your bleeders on your caliper with this one... that is it. Simple spin them open a bit... and instead of pump pump hold... you just pump pump pump pump pump pump Everytime you pump it pushes out the air or old fluid but with the check vlv it doesn't allow anything back in.

The products:

Rear:

Front:

The old stock normal bleeder

Out

The speed bleeder in

The inner workings of how they work

I have used these before and they work great!! I don't see how doing them on the dog will be any differently besides I only have 2 instead of 3 that I had on the sportbikes... :D

JUST INCREDIBLE

Yet again, another lesson from my favorite instructor:

The One and Only "GASMAN":2thumbs:

Taking a very intimidating topic (BRAKES) and giving me (US) the insight and ability to tackle a Bike Project and not only showing us how things work and what we need to know, but actually giving us all the: "follow along photo's"
That show us every step of the way.... Just Incredible.

Yet again, my hats off to you Buddy. Thanks again. You Rock:up:

PS: I'm starting to feel guilty....all of my taking and not being able to give back....Thanks again.

Dad you said If you want to bleed brakes or change brake fluid... this is a great way to do it without tricky pumps and vacuums and things that require a science degree to use... Well i have a degree this vacuum pump works for me what is the problem? Most people think that all they get when using this pump is more air being pumped out.Just pump out the large air bubbles and forget the small bubbles being sucked from the threads of the bleeder. Now to much on the pump can cause the you to get air past the rubber in the master cylinder though. can i get a rep please cuz i cant spell?

What did you say 05?

c4l... I don't know about all that ego boosting... but you're welcome. I'll of coarse report back on it when I bleed the brakes... maybe I'll do the rear Tuesday... its all done and ready anyway.

All I'm saying is the correct way to use a vacuum pump i have seen it misused. How did you know my dogs name is ego?

Will do.. need to bleed the rear to get it done and to test the brae light switch back there.

Man... I couldn't get these to work on my bike. They kept sucking air... not sure whats up with it... but I finally got fed up and pulled them off... went back to regular bleeders.

Not sure why... sense they come in a 2 pack... I even switched them once to see if just one of them was bad... NOPE!

Have ran them before on my sportbikes... worked great... not sure why not now!

can't you get a hose with the valve in it? I'm sure I've seen that somewhere - I've never bled brakes so this may be a stupid comment but would it not help to pour some fluid into the bottom of the catch can and make sure the end of the hose is submerged in the fluid?

That's what I did Lee... put the hose in one bottle of fluid and pump pump pump pump pump pump...

Well I should specify that I put the regular bleeder back in and then put the hose in the bottle.

That thing you are showing is the same idea as the speed bleeder. A check valve. But I went low tech... clamped a hose to it... sat that hose in the bottle of brake fluid and pump away...

Have several acquaintances that use the speed bleeders, but came across one of those "tricky vacume things" sold by Gratiot's Garage (ptno 35714) - always looking for ways to justify the air compressor. Haven't used it yet, but...
