Ginz Sissy Bars

Seriously thinking about pulling the trigger for one of these just wanting to see if anyone out there has installed one themselves! I assume you would have to remove the rear wheel to bolt up the Universal Mounts. Says they come with drilling template and all. Looks pretty simple just wondering if anyone has tried to tackle this.:2thumbs:

I dont know what they cost, but I would recommend doing it the right way and getting the struts and bar. it will cost ya a pretty penny but you know it will work.

I think bigdogparts has some 06 struts and 12" bar he is selling for around 500-600 I would do that.

I got the Ginz sissy bar but with BDM struts. Bill what you didn't trust? The universal mount? The bar itself is very strong and solid.

I bought the mounts from 55 and they work great. I have the ginz mounts and big dog sissy bar and been using them for 2 years with out any problems. I had to use longer bolts to go through the fender and struts.

Thinking about ordering one for the sled. Would like to hear more. Just looking for something so the bitch doesn't fall off...

I feel sorry for you fellows. My baby doesn't need a backrest or passenger pegs. She just jumps on, holds on, and wraps her legs around my waist.:D

I only use the sissy bar to go on long trips and take it off once I am there. Stephanie says "Less is More" and she is the fashion expert because I don't have a clue.

I have the Ginz sissy bar, luggage rack, quick release mounts on my HD Roadglide. Very well built and rock solid. The chrome is flawless. My only complaint is that from the time I ordered I didn't hear anything until right before it shipped, took about 2-3 months if I recall.

Yeah I would like to have the BDM but not wanting to spend 600-900 bucks on a dang sissy bar! The GINZ looked good and pretty easy to install plus my struts are chrome just hate to buy another set for the sissy then chroming them too just alot of money for a piece of metal.

Thanks for everyone's opinions keep them up thanks!!

For those of you that have the GINZ did you install them yourself???

If you did was it just as simple as removing the fender or did you have to drop the rear wheel too? I would think just taking off the fender and they supply the template of where to drill the holes for the install.
