Gas tank install

Hello folks.

When reinstalling my gas tank I noticed that the hose connecting the tank (peacock) to the carburetor is slightly touching the two cylinder heads. Is it routed correctly? Due to it being a rubber hose without any shielding, I'm concerned with it being damaged because of the heat.

It was like that on both my BD bikes and it never caused me any issues

Mine has a plastic shield. I'd put one on about 1/2 inch thick to keep the heat out and stop it from fuel vapor.
