i live in new jersey and my new fuel injected k-9 has about 400 miles on it and i been having a problem with an engine light going on and off. there has been a little bit of small backfire more like spuddering (if thats a word) going on until yesterday. yesterday was the first day i was stuck in traffic in about 75 degree day. it starting bogging out like it was flooded. i had to gun it just to get it going. today my uncle came who lives in pa with his 07 hd and put nj gas in his bike. on his way home his bike bogged out and acted funny for the first time. the dealer cant even look at my bike until the end of next week and i was hoping to do the wildwood run tomorrow! has anybody heard of a certain gas problem in nj or anywhere and is there something i can do myself? thank you help me here gas man :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

I don't think it is just you. I have noticed I am getting less mpg than I did last year,:bang: without any mods done to my bike. I talked with a friend today and he said he is noticing the same with his HD. Can it be the ethanol(sp)?

I'm in NJ and I've been watching for gas with ethanol, the pump will have a label, but there is a thread in here somewhere about it and it seems to be working fine for allot of guys.

There was a problem on the GSP Brookdale rest area yesterday. The Lukoil station had a bad batch of gas and there were people stranded right outside of the rest area. Everone had to get towed. I would get gas at a place you know or somewhere with a big turnaround I just heard on Fox news there are more places in Jersey with the cantaminated gas. I think they are mixing water with the gas to make more money. Check out Fox 5 NEWS guys.

Well water and gas don't mix. Very different gravities.

As far as ehtynol... its fine... and soon to be un-avoidable.
