Gas cap

i was going to my nephews football today i was on the highway doing about 80 when i saw my dang gas cap fly off the tank and it landed between my left knee and the tank i went to reach for it and it fell bouncing on the road.then a damn car hit it sending it flying into a field i guess looked for about 20 minutes trying to find no luck:bang: . Is there any differant kinds of caps that will interchange with them it has two caps but the dont fit the same side.

You're 01 should take standard old style HD caps. Just remember the rights side is vented and the left isn't.
Might be time for some new styles, there are lots of them out there.

Damn the bad luck Gil. You should be able to drop by any bike shop and get you a replacement. Hope the tank wasn't full when you lost the cap.

Gil, you can try the HD type but my 03 only takes the Landmark caps. So if the HD doesn't fit, you know where to go. By the way I have my Landmark caps, so if you need one just hollar.
