Gas Cap Inserts

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg I have been struggling with gas caps on my 2003 Mastiff that are near impossible to remove. I actually got stuck at a gas station and couldn't remove the gas caps to fill the tank. Luckyly I was close to home and had to use large channel lock pliers to remove the caps.
I read several threads on this forum and figured out that ethanol is the culprit. Not much we can do about that. Someone here made gas cap inserts made of aluminum but I don't believe he is making them anymore. So I decided to make some myself on my 1938 South Bend lathe. They turned out great and what a charm when it is time to fuel up!
I made a spare set and could make more if someone is interested. I haven't advertised anywhere else yet. If this is something you would like to inquire about please send me an email to "twobitmachinist@gmail.com".
I don't plan on doing this on a commercial basis but would be willing to help anyone here that needs them. Not having a CNC lathe it takes me a day to make a set, so $75 buys the right hand one and $50 buys the left hand one.

Ride safe
