Gas cap fitmen left or Right thread for 05 bdm chopper

So im in the market for a spiked gas cap for my 05 bdm chopper dog.

I like the one's from Dead one custome's (but not readily avail)

My question is: is my current stock cap left or right threaded?

and

is it vented?


my observation when i fuel up i turn it off , lefted loosey and tighened it
by turning clockwize. Based on this would i buy a RIGHT HAND THREAD?

AND

do i buy vented> I know that on hot days, my fuel expands
thus i belive my current stock cap is NOT vented .

I"m trying to wrap my mind around "how can it be Left hand threaded?"
for it' like a standard bolt sequence. Righty , tighty, (meaning i'm screwing the cap in CLOCKWISE to tighen it) Thus that would make it (RIGHT HAND THREADED.

Am i looking at this in the wrong light?

i'm about to purchase 200.00 gas cap with no exchanges thus i've no room for error.

If you turn it to the right to tighten your cap, logic says it's a right hand thread. I found that not having a vented tank cap causes the cap to be much more difficult to remove on hot days. Especially if you leave the dog in the sun for a while.
