FYI: lithium battery & heat

Reading the reviews regarding the lithiums I felt compelled to share. Even with the new technology we have today, their BMS (battery management systems) are still flawed. I was finding HD riders with certain models would have their bikes turn off, even while moving. Turns out heat is what is causing it to happen. The BMS will just turn the battery off until its reset by plugging in the charger. Perhaps mount the battery in the trunk instead right beside the engine? I was considering trying lithium again because I want a bit more than 310cca's.

Mounted a lithium Fe polymer Battery in my Pit Bull for a while
Purchased Panther 12Volts 16Amps. engine turn over like without spark plugs.
Battery has four poles, two times plus and minus for universal use.
you safe weight and space, have much power for start engine.
But the risk of burning battery let me take it out.
Like hot dogs only for eat..............

I’ve only heard of issues using Lithium in Big Dogs. I stay away from them in Vehicles and Motorcycles especially Big Dogs. I’m sure they are great for Drag Strip cars which only have to start and go 1/4 mile! They are also good for Electric Bikes. And don’t ever charge an electric car in the garage and risk burning the house down. Those suckers get super hot charging at high amps. I can’t imagine there is much savings considering the vehicle starts in the garage to cool the battery and a lot of power plants are only 33 percent efficient and there is an energy loss when transforming electrical grid power down the power lines and transformers and then the loss with the charger itself.

But, heck….Electrical cars are the future especially in states that have a ban on diesel and gas vehicles by 2035!

Oh, and don’t think your mileage will not take a huge hit if towing something….I read somewhere that a Ford F150 mileage went from around 200 to about 80 miles when trying to pull a load!
