Fuel delivery problem (I think)

I suggest you lightly lube the thread on both caps and just snug them down lightly when screwing them on as the nylon tends to swell and before you know what happened you are unscrewing your paint savers out of the tank. It had already happened to both sides of my tank.
Or replace the caps with an aftermarket replacement!

Thanks GDOG,
I try not to snug em down too much as it is because the stock caps are tough to get off already. What are you lubing the threads with?

So did filling the left side solve the problem?
Never did the left side as it looks to be a different nylon. I hit the paint saver with some epoxy and it stays in place now. I lube it and do not over tighten and it seem fine. I don't think it sweels as much as the black nylon. The left side is a gray material.

Sorry, I meant did filling up the left side off the gas tank help with his fuel problem. Dealer told him the left side cap was a fake cap.

Your right LARS, I have been out dodging bugs and enjoying my scoot. Sorry for not posting earlier but I had to run at least 60 miles thru my tank before I was sure the problem was fixed. Got over 100 miles on a tank this time with no problems. Problem has been SOLVED!

Thanks to all you BD Bikers out there. I have already learned a ton of info from you fine folks.

GDOG, I have some white lithium grease at home and will try it when I get home tonight.
