front master cylinder gasket install??

I noticed today on a ride that my front brakes felt slushy so i checked the fluid and it was low. I filled it up and realized it didn't pay attention to the gasket. I know the gasket has like a nipple that is offset that faces down (toward the fluid). I just forgot what side the offset was to.

If i'm sitting on the bike is the offset to the left with the nipple over the hole where the fluid travels done the line or is it to the right?

My apologizes for being a jackass on not paying attention.

these are some pictures of how i have it now... i think it came off like this??? It appears that mine does not have a contour. Does this look correct??? or do I have to spin the gasket so the "nipple" ids where my thumb is? Thanks for any help. :)

Isn't there an inprint on the underside of the rubber seal for you to go by?

You have it correct in the picture...I just isntalled a shorter brake line last week on mine. I had replaced handle bars with shorter ones.....so I had to install a shorter brake line....If you have a problem with bleading them let me know...pm me and I will tell you a easy way to do it...

thank you... for the responses. There was an imprint on the underneath that verified that what I had in the picture was correct. I got lucky and caught it before bleeding was required. :)
