Fluid Leaking

I am learning as I go, so please be understanding. I have 06 pitbull mainly stock except for V&H pipes. Cleaned bike very well sunday before ride. Rode about 150 miles and noticed i had Fluid coming out of chrome cover that covers front drive gear (behind exhaust pipes) that the clutch cable goes into. Never had any leaks on this bike before. not enough to drip on floor, but frame and rear fender had oil on it from wind blowing it all over it. Is it possibly a seal or bearing that has failed? Also I replaced rear tire in January , have put about 1,000 miles on it since then, and wondering if I possibly overtighten drive belt and have caused a premature bearing or seal to go out. How hard is it to remove this ans see what is wrong? Thanks for any help.

first you might check to see if your trans dip stick plug is tight. if it is, the oring on the clutch cable might have lost it seal while you were cleaning. it's a simple fix.
