I made it through the surgery. The day the Dr released me I retired 8 weeks ago this Monday same day. The ole scoot has been covered up a while. This afternoon I got the notion to up cover it. It fired up the second time it cranked and ran. It took it out for a spin, it ran great as always.
I do need two things I have no idea where to get, should be simple to find. 2004 Ridgeback speedometer the little black knob you reset the miles with is gone. I can turn the stem but that kind of sucks. Do have to replace the entire speedometer to get this little knob? And when I went to put gas in it today the gas cap seemed stuck but, came loose. I noticed the tank had something like plastic, paraffin threads inside that is pretty much wore out, coming apart. I got the pieces out of the tank without it falling inside, but it needs replacing. Anyone have any ideas where I can get these two items? I will check Back,, thank you,, Be safe ,

Curtis at wildsteedworx.com has the buttons, or @Mr. Wright , I think he makes them for Curtis. It sounds like your cap is swelling from the ethanol in the gas. It's a common problem. Eric at bigdogpartskingpin.com has replacement caps.

Thank you Sir, it is 4:41in the Am here . I will get on that as soon as everyone else in the world gets up, Have a great weekend! Going to wipe the ole scooter off today. It really did feel good to get it out yesterday being retired and all. I keep it covered up all the time, but I do woodwork in the garage, cnc router, fine sawdust sometimes, well all the time. :)

I received the reset button from Curtis, have not go to the pint of putting on just yet. Thank you so much Curtis. Really enjoyed talking to the Legend first time. I got the new gas cap from BigDogkingpin, got the paint saver from R & B Cycles. Thank you all. It is good to be retired and have time to ride now. But a big honey-do list! I am keeping busy, I have never had any issue with the gas cap or paint saver, seemed kind of lost at first. I think my gas cap is the original, possibly 19,000 miles 2004 Ridgeback. I shared with someone about this today, and said these things had to be fixed and corrected. But focused on with all the crap going on in this world now, this stuff is no big deal. We are blessed to have had people like Raywood, The Legend!, Curtis, Mr. Wright, Franco, Donna, R & B Cycles and all these folks that guide us and help us to keep these ole Dogs running. I really appreciate your help!
