And before you know it you'll be grabbing so much throttle the Highway patrol will be on your tail pulling you over and offering a citation.

You will love it. Give yourself some time to get use to the wider tire and the longer wheel base.

Take your time with the ride. Get adjusted to the extended frontend and the wide rear tire. Oh yeh, the bikes responds very fast to a slight turn of the throttle. Be careful for idiots.

uh, do us all a favor and take the rider course FIRST. The mechanics of a street bike and a dirt bike are the same, kinda, but the rest is alien to you. In fact counter-weighting the turns like you do on a dirt bike is opposite!

So seriously do yourself a favor and take the course, then go have some fun!!

I'm really not sure how to respond to this.........from a dirt bike to a K9 Chopper, or Mastiff Pro Street it like going from a go-cart to a fuel dragster. One giant step. :choppersmiley: Just don't grab too much throttle first time out. :whoop:

Not nearly as agile and nimble as a dirt bike. Kind of like trying to hold on to a bull that just got kicked in the nuts. :D

First thing I did when I got my K9 was sign up for another MSF class. Guys looked at me funny when I showed up on it. It was a real good experience getting to know the new bike. Even passed all but the figure 8, just couldn't keep it in the square. The Army makes us take the refresher every year. it's always funny to outride the sportbikes through the cones, well at least I used to on the Harley.

Exactly. If you've never been on the road before with a real street bike of any kind, there is not only the bike to get used to, but more importantly, there are all the a-hole moron car drivers out there that just don't give a shit or look out for us bikers. The concern I would have for you is that you might be too focused on handling the bike itself, and not enough so on the traffic around you.

The MSF course is a must.

Ha Ha. I would be funny to see someone try to navigate the fig 8 on a chopper.

when doin' the figure 8, make sure to hang your ass of the opposite side as far as you can for better balance.

shane (narow) and i both took the course with K9's. not easy but it is do-able.
