Nomad, and Chopper 117 I was just wandering why would you want to go back to the chain I was never more happy to get away from the nasty things. I'm sure you can even get a stronger belt than is on our bikes and they out last the chains 10 to 1. No mess and no clean up. I can see if you are running a drag bike, but there are a lot of guys on here running high HP and not running chains with no problem.

chains are also probably more forgiving if you have a misalgnment problem. It will wear quicker if not 100% aligned but will still run ok. A belt more than likely won't. As Neil alludes to it's also not really the HP but the torque that can break a belt. I think a chain gives more piece of mind.

i have a bigdog (chopper model) 2005. I"ve grown tired of replacing belts and breaking down , being strandard and relying on others to get me home.

I need your advice on where to get these parts for my bike . and the total break down of cost. As i have made the decision to go this route.

Thanks in adv. Neil.

Watch your rear hub bolts. I've snapped mine twice and finally had the hub/rim machined for bigger bolts. Horsepower and torque is a beautiful thing!!! congrats. I want to see a full bike pic. Looks sweet!!!!@!
