Today was the first nice day in two weeks, been cold here in the South if you can believe it. Watched the weather report and saw today was gonna be in the 60's instead of 30's or 40's, so I took the day off from work and me and the old lady went ridin. Her on her Sporty and me on the dawg. Went out to lunch at one of our local barbecue spots, it was a good day. I also put this nice little bag on the bike, it is perfect. Holds my kick stand plate, Xena wheel lock and cargo bungee with room for small items if 'ya need to do a little shopping while in town, which we did - had to pick up a new collar for one of the real dogs, Bear the Weimeraner.Sissy Bar Bags

Anyway, also got a question, the wife's gettin tired of the Sporty, she rides my Vrod about half the time now. Which BigDog model would FIT a women? I think the Coyote's bars would fit her arm length. I think we're gonna take a road trip to Charleston, I believe they still have a dealership there so she can check them out. I know this is gettin wordy felt stir crazy not bein able to ride for 10 days. Hey anybody ever rode the Tail of the Dragon - Deals Gap? Thinkin were gonna try it this Summer.

We had a blast riding the Dragon! Stayed in Cherokee and made a whole weekend out of it. Rode route 28 Hellbender up to the Dragon...beautiful ride. Wish we had done the Cherohala Skyway while there, but that's just a reason to go back! In my biker photos, there's three pics on me on a v-rod riding the Dragon. Before you go, make a plan, because there are a lot of good rides in that general area.

Yes many of times including 3 on the Mastiff. Very fun, but it will bite you if you do not stay focused on the road and get distracted by the scenary or somethings else. Also if you go, ride your own ride and not someone else, or another way stay within your comfort factor and do not worry about staying up with someone else. Everyone can meet at the End safely that way.

Also be aware it is a US Highway and thus is not closed to general traffic. It is double yellow the whole distance and though most vehicles are motorcycle and site seeing, there is the occasional truck that will go up and when they do, they can and do get hung up on the curves or cross over into the other lanes and more. Be prepared so you do not end up under one coming off a blind curve.

The Dragon is thrilling and a memorable ride, but once you have done it a few times, do not miss the many other great rides in the area from the Cherohala SkyWay, Foothill Parkway, Fontana and many others.

Also on the Dragon watch for the LEO for the TN side tend to be somewhat of a PITA both State and County. NC is better for that but the TN has the better part of pavement last time I went.

Look forward to seeing your pics on Killboy.com
