So the ol' Vintage Classic suddenly went to spin mode from the starter. i surmised that after 25 years, I finally had a broken jack shaft For the first time. Determined not to repair myself and to anticipate that maybe this was the opportunity to install the JP Cycles Easy Start kit. Turns out it was just the jack shaft screw came loose. No parts except new primary fluid. Happy camper here. Hey, speaking of camping, I guess she's ready for a cross country to the Ozarks in May for the gathering.

Its always a good feeling to see that its just the bolt backed out.

Yeah, it's kinda fun as these guys are all about the fact they can't test ride my bike as I have this goiter of a weld repair at my triple tree on full display. Gleefully obtained for $100 in southern Idaho on my tour of the northern continent. So I ride it in and ride it home as they tell me in every other sentence that they can't test ride my bike. I smile and fire 'er up and ride away. I am having so much fun with it, I may never repair (aesthetically obscure) it. They are great guys and I am completely happy with their technical expertise.
