I just went through a horrible delivery experience with HaulBikes.com and thought I would share so that others would be aware. I tried to be polite and calm throughout the e-mails, but it was difficult. Others have had problems as well (LINKS FIXED...)
Rip-off Report: Daily Direct, LLC Aka Haulbikes.com Hired Daily Direct aka haulbikes.com to deliver a motorcycle. Over 45 days have passed and still no delivery. Milwaukee Wisconsin
Rip-off Report: Daily Direct LLC, DBA Haulbikes.com And Shippingmasters.com Dishonest Company with extreamly poor customer service. Milwaukee Wisconsin

I will simply post up the e-mail transcripts and let you be the judge.
I purchased the bike on March 13th. It finally arrived April 30th, almost 2 months after the purchase (7 weeks).
Read this like you would a regular e-mail / from the bottom up. To date, they have made no offers of any compensation for their screw-up. Give me back a percentage of my original shipping charge ($750.00) and maybe I would feel better about the whole thing. SARA is from HaulBikes and ERICK is from the dealership Victory of Mesa...

1. Good Morning to both of you........
Just to confirm that the bike was delivered yesterday at approx 3:15 p.m. Upon inspection, Jim pointed out a small 1 inch scratch on the bottom of the frame. I have included 2 large pics for reference. Jim tells me that it was there when the bike was picked up at the dealership in Arizona. I have no choice but to believe him, and I think I could easily find some matching touch up paint at least to cover the scratch and protect the metal frame from moisture damage, no problem.
I must say that I still have mixed feelings about how this situation was handled, but I feel much better now that the bike has been delivered, and meeting Jim and his son was a pleasure. Two very nice guys.
I can only say that I will be completely honest with anyone asking about my experience, both the process and the outcome. Having been in the service industry for 30 years, I guess the old saying sometimes holds true......."Shit Happens"....... You just do the best you can under the circumstances and compensate for your mistakes.
Erik......... Thanks for your support in all of this. I really appreciate it!!!!!!
You both have a great weekend...........
Greg

Hi Gregory,
I just wanted to let you know that our driver Jim is currently back on the road and he is going to be delivering your bike on Wednesday or Thursday this week. He will call you the day before to arrange a time to meet. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this injury delay has caused you, thank you for your patience. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sara

Greg,
1. You have shown your true character in a simple email. Let me express my appreciation for your understanding in this situation. Right now our main focus is getting Jim back on the road in good enough shape to be able to safely move these bikes for our customers. I will definitely keep you informed. Enjoy your deck maintenance and your beer!
Thanks!

Sara,
Just to let you know that I do appreciate you staying on top of this and that I am sympathetic to Jim's situation, having thrown my back out 3 times (nothing worse than having to crawl on your hands and knees just to get to the bathroom) so I know what it's like.
There's really nothing I can say or do at this point that will make my bike get here any faster. Patients is the key word to keep in mind right now. I realize everyone is doing all they can to make the best out of a bad situation, but at the same time I would imagine the owners of HaulBikes would be asking themselves "We have 10 valued customers that have been put at an incredible inconvenience. What can we do as a company to compensate for this and retain our good reputation?"
ANYWAY............I have a deck to pressure wash (along with beers to consume....lol) this weekend, but I will continue to remain patient and will check my cell phone constantly for any word from you guys.

Greg,
My dispatch was thinking about sending another driver to pick up Jim’s trailer to continue on with his trip. All of our drivers are currently out on the road in different parts of the country, except for one. That driver is only available for the next few days because he owns a company of his own and has prior obligations. So he is not able to continue with Jim’s deliveries. The only thing he could do would be to pick up the trailer and bring it back to our WI terminal, where it would sit waiting to be taken back out to the East coast by another available driver. By waiting until this weekend for Jim to continue we will actually be able to get the bike delivered to you faster, even though it is past our expected date first described to you.
This is affecting about 10 other customers as it is yourself. I apologize for this sincerely...our drivers unfortunately need to remain healthy and strong to move these units. Jim did try to move a jet ski on a dolly, and it hadn’t been secured properly to the dolly so it started to fall, and he tried to hold it steady so as not to damage the unit. This is how he injured himself.
I am not sure what will happen if something else happens to him, but I can assure you that you will know anything the moment that I do. I just got off the phone again with Erick, and he is demanding we do something about this for you. I will keep you updated, because that’s all I can do on my end until our driver Jim is back on the road. If the ETA will be available over the weekend I can have our Saturday employee call you with an update, but I will be back in the office again on Monday.

WOW...... there are so many thoughts going through my head right now, I don't even know where to start.
First of all, thanks for the updates. I realize none of this is your fault. But seriously, think about it, you couldn't make up a story this messed up even if you tried. Just leaves me staring at the wall shaking my head in disbelief, but it is what it is and I guess we just have to deal with it. So I guess the idea of sending another driver didn't fly.... Sounded good to me. So what if everything doesn't go well and
he's not released on Friday? I hope that's not the case but you have to have a course of action in place just in case. Where's he at in Pa., a hotel or something? How many other people are being affected by this? Why was he driving if he knew he was injured?
Oops, sorry, I was starting to ramble there........ I think I'm just going to chill out and wait to hear from you as the weekend approaches. I'm off this coming Friday and Monday. I should be around the house for most of the weekend.
Thanks again for your help........
Greg

Greg and Erick,
Thank you for keeping me in your loop of communication. The latest information I received from my dispatch is that our driver Jim is going to a specialist on Wednesday. As of right now he does have to complete 4 days of physical therapy, which means we are estimating he’ll be released on Friday if everything goes well. This will mean he will be able to continue his trip of pick ups and deliveries, although delayed. I just wanted to let you know what I know regarding this situation, I’ll continue to keep you updated. Thanks!
Sara

Erick,
No worries..... Sara seems to be on top of things and we should have this resolved in the short term. I'm sure everyone is doing the best they can given the situation. I'll update you when delivery occurs.

Greg,
Thanks for your response. I will definitely give you a heads upon when to expect delivery. As soon as I know, you will know.

Sara,
Thanks for the heads up. It's not so much that the bike isn't here, it's being kept in the dark about the situation. A simple 30 second call from Jim letting me know whats up would have been reassuring.
I must be at work Tues., Wed., Thurs. of this week, but I am usually home no later than 4:00 pm. I can maybe skip out a couple hours early if you let me know which day. Also am thinking about taking off on Friday depending on the weather. If I do, I'll be pressure washing the deck the whole day, so I'll be around.
Just let me know how things go with Jim so I know what to do on my end...........................
Greg

Greg,
I just got in the office after the weekend. Our driver Jim injured his back late last week and is actually at the doctor today in PA. Because of this injury he is behind schedule. My dispatch is looking into sending another drive rout to pick up his trailer and continue on with his trip. I don’t have any new information yet this morning, but I will notify you as soon as I have new information regarding your delivery.
I apologize for the inconvenience, we will have to wait and see how his appointment turns out today. I’ll keep you updated.

No......Not so great..........here it is 7:30 p.m. on Sunday night, April19thand I haven't heard anything from anyone. Am I to expect that my bike will not be delivered tomorrow either? Should I spend another day sitting around the house waiting for something that will never happen or a phone call that I will never get?
ERICK........ this is not what I expected.......... My weekend of excitement has turned into a weekend of anxiety. Plus, it's supposed to rain all day tomorrow..........not the best for a bike delivery, but I'll take what I can get.
That's all I have to say......for now.
