spokes tend to come loose more on big inch motors that vibrate alot. and you are talking about a ridgeback that vibrates even more. your choice but be ready to check and tighten the spokes and re-true the wheels quite often.
although BDM did put spokes on the mutt for a while, they eventually went with billet wheels.
I have a mutt with 13,000 miles on it and other then three front rims because of NJ pot holes I never had a problem with the spokes. There is a member from NC by the name of GKC that broke a few spokes on his back rim last year. If it were me I would not put them on a ridgeback.
I wouldn't go with a spoked rim on that ridge unless you can get some bigger spokes. I don't know how that would look though, I'm trying to visualize it and I can't... Sorry, I know this doesn't help!!!
Spokes
Count me in !
Check out my post HomeDawg in the general forum .
I put spokes on my chopper. 80 spoke rims from American Wire Wheel .
I wouldn't have it any other way.
No problems with the spokes on my mutt.
To me spokes are classic and never go out of style.
That is why I went with the mutt when I decided on big dog.
Spokes on the front would be cool. I have no evidence of it,but have been told that with the power of these bikes you run the risk of ripping spokes out if you run a spoke wheel on the rear.
