I got my 06 K-9 and love it. I was looking at the paint job in the sun then put a led light on. Holy shit it looks like finger and palm prints under the clear. You can't see it in the shade but in the sun and with the light its a mess. Do ya'll think I would have any luck with getting the factory to do something to help out?? Thanks...C:angry:

They may send you a large umbrella so it's always in the shade.

Man if you can get a 4 year old paint job covered under warranty you'll be the man. I am assuming that you are not the original owner. How do you know it is factory paint?

Age is the problem here... otherwise for sure they'd cover it.

Gas I agree that age is the problem. But If he isn't the original owner who knows if its factory paint or not. Kind like blaming bdm for nothing they may have not painted.:D

I'm surprised the clear didn't delaminate in that area. Typically any fingerprints or such left behind are the result of oils (from your hands) being deposited on the surface. Clear coats usually have a negative reaction to oils and the clear coat will lift. Are you sure they are not in the clear and could possibly be buffed out or maybe wetsand (with 2000 grit) then buff back up to a nice gloss?

Man, I could tell you guys some real horror stories...
My favorite would have to be this dip-shit chick who would spend the first half hour of EVERY day fixing her hair, touching up her make-up, and (I'm not lieing) slathering on gobs of hand lotion! Then she would finally get to work, putting her contaminated hands all over her parts. So not only was she f**king up paint jobs left and right, she got PAID to do it because she was on the clock. Guys, this happened every day...
