Extended control search is OVER!!!

After a search for almost a year, the search is over! These things are impossible to find. They must have made like 4 sets. No bigdogpartsking, no ebay, nothing. So i was resigning to the fact that i would be riding without them for good.

Anyway, fast forward to a few months ago. I see my old 03 chopper (that i sold in 07) on craigslist. I call the dude and try to swap him my current original ones for the extended ones i put on his chopper when i owned it. He said NO.

Few days ago, phone rings. The dude sold the bike and the new owner cant reach the controls. Well the seller gave the buyer my number. So i tear the controls off my bike and hit the road 2 hours away. Meet the new owner, and we swap out controls. It was cool wrenching on my old chop and twin to my current one. He fits perfect now! Now i get to install these, and looking forward to being stretched out this summer!

:whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

I told the new owner of my old chop about this forum. Hoping he joins soon.!! He was a super great guy!

I just love a good story with a two pound hammer and a happy ending.
Yea - I guess I should of removed the hammer from the pic.....ha. I needed it on both bikes! Couldn't get the big main fastener out that threads from the back side into the actual peg. Had to tap it out.

Overall this is a pretty EZ job. Biggest hassle will be bleeding the brakes I think.
