Ok boys... this is no porno shit... so don't go there....

Last week I noticed I was missing not one but 2 flange nuts on my exhaust. I was just telling Alhall that I was thinking about double nutting them... then no more than 45mins later we noticed 2 of them gone...

So I got some new flange nuts and some standard nuts...

Torqued on the first nuts to the flanges... then installed the second jam nut.

The studs are 5/16-24 for the nut size.

On Chopper Dave's V&H BR

I did this on T-Mack's as well last weekend.

I think its a simple thing to add that has no negative and all the positives of a great preventative maintance measure.

Great idea Gas Man! I wonder if you could find some chrome decorative nuts to put on as jam nuts.

I too had both rear nuts come off on a ride recently. Stopped at a ACE HARDWARE store and they had chrome nuts. Think I will pick up some more.
4 to double nut and 2 spares.

Thanx for the tip Gas Man!
