Exhaust issues?

Friend of mine put on the Medustas... seem to like it ... I put on the Big Radius and had the carbs rejetted and works like a champ :up: .... Make sure your K-9 is rejetted as it really does make a difference. Speed safely*

...if your wife rides with you any, one thing to consider is the location of the outlet. you don't want to fry her right foot. make sure they don't dump out on the passenger peg.
After you punched out the baffles did you do any further tuning to the carb?
Amazing that those BIG 4 1/4" pistons have to push all that exhaust through just these little holes. Not much breathing is there? When you punched out the plugs you really opened it up so if you did that in additon to running a less restrictive air cleaner then I can understand why it's popping if you didn't change jets, it's probably running real lean!

Most start with a 31 intermediate when you change to the big radius or mean mothers. The 76 should be real close. There is a how to thread on jetting your carb that should put you right on:2thumbs:
Martin Bro's are sweet pipes. Inspect the chrome carefully as they get their chrome done in Mexico and they slide the pipes into plastic bags which can scratch the chrome.
As far as problems... a buddy has the medusas on his AIH and we had some problems with the baffles. 2 problems exactly.
The baffles mounting bolt became loose and the baffle started to rattle real bad. Went to remove the bolt and the allen just stripped out. Had to cut the bolt off with a dremel.
Second problem... once we got rid of the baffles... realized how bad they SUCKED anyway!!!!

I just put MB "Medustas" on last week. runs fine i put 31/78 jets in mine. pulled the baffels out because they weren't loud enough. ole lady feet are fine, the problem would be if you have a chopper or a k-9..pegs are as little higher on a k-9 and set closer to the pipes on a chopper. the "Trixtas" would work better for a chopper due to the cut on the pipes.

had medustas on my old bd chopper, just install thunder baffels 8 ins. up inside pipes. it will still sound good on poping, & low end & mid range power was great!!
and the jets stay the same!
