Exhaust Gaskets

Will Harley EVO exhaust gaskets work OK on my 07 K9?:confused: I have new pipes coming and I want to install new gaskets.

They will work but in general the HD gaskets aren't always the best to get because they restrict the flow - you want the small flat ones. A couple of the boys also double up on the gasket on the rear head - I think its the rear head anyway.

Shouldn't be a problem. I have gotten harley gaskets before:2thumbs:

What Lee said the flat gasket typically don't crush into the flow of the exhaust

Taper out towards the pipe, they will be a pain to put in but less chance of obstruction from the gasket since the head pipe will fit into the taper.

Ofcourse, I put in backwards, since they went in so much eaiser that way!!!!:bang: :bang:

So, from above post I put them in backwards. Pulled off the pipes this morning and the exhaust gaskets look GOOD. Nice and compressed all the way around. SO, pull them out anyway, and put in new ones, the correct way, or leave them in?

You can sometimes get them from HD dealers but otherwise from your other v-twin type shops... I tend to always carry a few sets in the garage cause I always got guys over wrenching and in need sometimes...

Like a few weeks ago
