Exhasut Wrap

I have three sets of pipes now and am frustrated with all of them. I have burned every pair of Levi's I have and ruined a new pair of leather pants.
Of all my pipes I like the Stainless Creations that best but they are the ones that burn all my pants. the front pipe is not tucked in tight enough! I just had Vickie get me the new Martin Bros Zig Zag which I had ceramic coated on the inside. But it burned a hole in my leathers and the rear peg can't be used.
So, I just finished wrapping up my Martin Bros Ghetto Blasters. I should have them on by Monday after I paint them tomorrow. The wrap should save my pants and the pipe will allow me to use the rear peg.
I will update next week.

Ray

Yeah, tomorrow after it's all dried. Should look great when I'm done.

Continueing Exhaust problems

Well my problems with exhaust just continue..... :argue:

Yesterday I ordered another pipe from Stainless Creations. I got the "Wrath" and am having them ceramic coat it internally.

My current pipe is the "Ghetto Blaster" but man I cannot get it tuned properly. I pops so loud on shifts and I get a lot of deceleration popping. It's unbearable.
Now before you guys all tell me that some popping is normal I will state that with my SC drag pips and the MB Zigzag's I had no popping. As soon as I put that ghetto blaster on there thought it started and it's bad. Plus it is hot!!!!! Even with the wrap on it.

I really like the Stainless pipes cause you can polish out any scratches or marks. They turn a nice shade of gold which can be removed and they sound great or at least my last one's did. They are large pipes.

Here is a picture of the pipe on one of our members bike.

Hopefully this set of pipes will suit you and solve the popping problem. How long before they are ready for you?

They do look like they fit a lot tighter than your other SC's - that should be good - but I bet they'll still be hot hot hot.

I'm also curious about the tunability. The tailpiece looks about the same size as your Ghetto Blasters, so I'm guessing it'll be very similar - hope not, though.

If all else fails, I have an almost new set of Supertrapp's I can let go fer real cheap! :whoop:

raywood,

i have the same martin bros pipes hanging on my wall. i burnt up a pair of boot on those pipes. they said the problem was they were made for a left side drive. the problem with the pipe is the front one hangs over the peg leaving little room for you boot .

if you are getting rid of the pipes that are in the top of the pic, please let me know.
