First off, intro would be nice so we know who you are.
On the inside off your controls the wires are very small and can break loose. Open them up and take a look, I bet that is what is going on. I had my start button do this. Just resolder and go about your way.

Do some troubleshooting first and get a wiring diagram for your bike.
Search this forum for other info and a diagram
Could be a broken wire but you need an ohm meter to test.
Disconnect the battery when working on the electrical tracing.
