Ok,
if you didn't get an email, I will try and guide you thru the process of what you need to do.

Go to your own user control panel (CP) by clicking on the home button and then you should see User CP on the left just below home.

click on user CP

scroll all the way down looking at the menu bar on the left.
under the miscellaneous header, click on group memberships.

now you should see the button to click and join the group which will allow you to see the dog pound/alley section.

let me know if you have any troubles.
