Electrical Problems (Me!!!!!!)

Alright, I'm a dumbass!!! I flipped my license plate after arriving in Florida for bike week. I didn't think anything about it and hung out at a friends house and drank a few cold ones the night I arrived. The next day, I attempted to start my bike and nothing. The four way flashers would come on and that was it. I thought maybe I smoked something after my 500 mile ride (EHC), and I was screwed. After pouring through hours of threads and reading my fault light indicators, I determined that I had a power up fault. I didn't sleep all night, got on the forum at 6:30 this morning and found this thread. I recalled messing with the license plate, so I pulled that harness loose above the EHC. Everthing immediatetey went back to normal and the bike started!!!! I inspected my plate flip and determined that I had crushed the wires and that was what my problem was. I reconnected the wires and everything is great. The forum rocks!!!! Here is the post that saved my ass.
Thank's dude!!

Well, the green led is supposed to flash and the two reds are flashing since you have an open circuit on the headlight. The EHC is looking for either the low or high beam so it is jumping back and forth between the two. Thats the reason your high beam indicator is flashing as well. That being said you should check your headlight to begin with and make sure your bulb and connector are fine.

I am more concerned with the yellow light flashing. That is supposed to be a constant led and it only flashes if you have a fault or short on your power up circuit. One at a time with the key in the on position, disconnect your rear fender harness, your tag light harness, your front marker light harness (pulling the tank required) and your speedometer and tachometer harness(once again, tank must be off). If the yellow light stops flashing and becomes a constant light when you unhook any one of those items then you have found which harness has a short in it and you can chase it from there with a meter.
