'05 Bulldog 9500 miles. Bike died out on a ride, easy fix it was a loose ground wire on battery. A week later same thing but the post was smoked. Speedometer stuck on 30mph. went an got a new battery and replaced all the connectors. I hooked up all the positives and then i go to do the negatives. no key in the ignition put on one wire and the compresor for air ride comes on, try a different wire starter hits! again NO KEY in the bike!!! WTF!

Sounds right! Try disconnecting the ign sw and hook up the battery grounds again.

going to try it now. let you know. thanks for the response.
When you disassemble the ign coil cover, watch for the fiberglass washers between the ignition cover and the head bolts bosses and be sure they both go back into place when reinstalling.

Try connecting all the grounds to the battery terminal first, then the positives last. Could be something to do with the EHC input signals are ACTIVE LOW (ground level) when activated by a button press etc..
