With all the problems with the EHC'S I personally don't think any of them would be considered good, however with that being said I replaced mine three years ago and so far so good.what symtoms are you having?:)

When it does stop working, go with the wire plus kit. Don't replace it with another EHC. They are junk.

You can get an Amen to that from the Wire Plus Crowd !!! When mine went out it just quit running, and would not start again. There were absolutely no issues until then, but I knew the battery was getting weak. That could have been the beggining of the end of the ech. I have the wire plus and the new switch, I like the new switch much better.

One thing to note, EHC's get blamed for a lot of issues when they are not to blame at all. From what I've read and experienced, bad batteries and water seeping into connections seem to be an EHC's worst enemy. Be sure to keep your EHC filled with di-electric grease to prevent water entering. Keep your battery on a tender. Shrink wrap all electrical connections/plugins. With a little preventative maintenace, you may never have an issue with your EHC.

I've owned my scoot since summer 2008 brand new and have had no issues with my EHC. I might just be one of the lucky ones though(Knocking on Wood)...:D

I agree with Bad Brad, water is the enemy to our bikes. I never wash my bike with water, only spray detailer's and micro fibre towels.

When mine went out! there were lots of issues. Check valve under gas cap sticking. next, vapor lock, bike was shutting off. finally battery got weak . my grandson & I put jumper cables on battery. Fried everything! Was'nt using battery-tender! But probably biggest problem was bike had wrong battery in when purchased, bought used! Not enough cold cranking amps! Also keep your red & black cables snug on battery terminals!

There is no such thing as a "good" EHC! There are only "Bad" EHC's, they are a tool of the devil  which he uses to inflict pain and suffering on humanity! Remove it at once before its too late, throw it into holy water, pray, repent and be thankful that the angel known as "Wire Plus" was sent to save us!
