Hi All, My EHC went out on my 2004 pitbull. Is there another way to fix this with out buying another EHC from BD. If i put it in there is NO warranty if they do it theres a 90 day THATS IT. I just bought this bike and its great but its starting to make me think that i should have bought the Big Bear that i decided against. Any help would be great thanks

03 unit won't workin a 2004. Up to 2003 was the Thunder-Heart unit, and in 2004 they went to a new EHC... Then in 2005 they went to the current EHC.

Why bother to get a new one if it has a 90 day warranty, I would just go the WIRE Plus route and be done with it.

Contact Jake he can set you up. Wire-Plus WP-374 Big Dog Module*-*Low Down Chop Shop

I just got the wire plus kit this past weekend and I'm about to do the install this coming weekend. I've checked the post on the install and it looks very good. I'll post something after i'm done.

I wish I had more money.
Do you think that you may have an underlying issue that caused your ehc to go out? Some thng you may want to check into. I really don't think these things are like light bulbs and go for just no reason. Smae with the wire plus im sure it is great but a couplew people here have put them in and had the same problems as before. It's not always the ehc people.

I'm in the middle of the Wire Plus install on a 2005 Chopper. It's a lot of tedious "cut the blue wire, plug into Pin 4" type shit, but really not hard to do at all. It's summer and I'm busy riding my own chopper plus working on another bike I just bought, so I've been draggin my feet on finishing up this 2005 but I might get it done tonight. Anyway, I wouldn't go buy another EHC from Big Dog, I heard they upgraded and fixed it or some shit but who really knows.

I put my 3rd one in a couple of months ago..this one I had to buy..Last 2 were warranty..BDM told me I was on my own until I turned it over to BBB..Now they called offering to try and fix the problem as far as labor anyway..Going to take my bike to nashville today and let them see..I have to anyway, I went to start it the other night and It popped something like a gunshot and wont start...But the EHC is still working..
