does anyone know if the M unit will work on 2004 mastiff. If you can use existing switches and wiring.

search M unit in stall there's a few of us that has done it and are very happy with it it doesn't take a brain surgeon to do it do some research i did mine for less than $400 IN parts and i just thought i loved my dog now i know i do. if you have any questions fill free to pm me.

I have the M-unit, not installed yet, as long as my EHC is still working I will probably keep using it.
One guy on here installed one and it fried just like the stock EHC. I would recomend installing with a separate fuse to power the M-unit if you get one.
I don't see why the M-unit wouldn't work on your 2004 if wired up correctly.
I'm saving up to buy a 2nd M-unit for a spare, so if I ever have any problems with it I can just change it out quick and easy. If/when I get another one, then I plan to go ahead and install the first one.
Buying two of them is about the same cost as the wire plus or the PDM, without the wait.

Thanks for the info. Do u know if u still use stock ignition switch? Its completed on the ground circuit right? I have a mechanic who's gonna help me. Just want to make sure I have everything ready. Also wondering if I'm gonna have enough wire. Seems like I would cut ou backbone harness and follow Bd wiring diagram and terminate on the input side of M unit. Then same on the output side. Nervous I guess. Working on a tight budget.

yes, you can use the stock key switch with the M-unit (as long as it works correctly).
All the signal "inputs" for the M-unit are ground signals.
You don't HAVE to cut out your backbone harness, just the connectors at the EHC. But my opinion is that you would be money ahead to go ahead and cut out the backbone harness and rewire everything. By rewire I mean that you cut out all the connectors in the harness and solder (and heat shrink) in new wires from the connectors to the M-unit. That way you will know all your wires are good and do not have bare spots or bad connections.
