Looking forward to retirement
Went for a ride last night, met some friends and had a couple of beers. Left the Restraunt and about 2 min later was in 2nd gear shifter into 3rd and grabbed a hand full of throttle and EVERYTHING died, motor lights everything!!! Now remember I just replaced my EHC! So I feel my blood presure going up!!! It's now dark and I can't see shit. I pulled over to the side of the road and a minute later a car stops. It's a 86-90 yr old couple. He asked if I needed any help. I asked if he had a flash light and he did. I explained I thought it was an EHC problem. He laughed after looking at the wiring. Said this bike had more wiring than his. I looked at him and said ok, you have my attention! He laughed said he bought it used in 1945 and it was still in his garage. He had not started it in yrs but had ridden the dickens out of it. His kids were fighting between them selfs over who would get the 1939 Indian Chief. I told him I could solve his families problem and take it off his hands that way they would stop arguing. He laughed. Then we got back to my problem. The new ignition relay had come loose. I zip tied it to the female plug and my dog fired right up. Had the relay not come loose I never would have met a really cool man!
