EHC IN MY MIND

Hey guys on this terrific forum.
I will ride my 2005 Ridgeback for the first time now when spring will arrive in Sweden.
What concern me is all talk about the EHC.
I have had in my mind all the time during the whole winter (looong) will it work, will it work.
What do You have to say to a "green" man on a Big Dog, are there big EHC problems or are there just some who have had "bad luck".
I´m very curious to hear from You out there who have more experince.

Alot of problems get blamed on the EHC, but most of the electrical problems are loose connections, chaffed wires and such. I have an 05 and ran it for 5 years with no problems with the electrical except the key switch failed. I finally replaced my ehc with the wireplus system just for peace of mind. But don't worry there are some very good resources here if you have a problem.

I have replaced my EHC with a WirePlus. No issues. Just my opinion but ride it till it quits and then worry about it.
