dyna2000 no room to advance plate

:confused:I just changed out my ign to the Dyna 2000 single fire. I have a 2004 Chopper DT 107 SS. I have the Dyna plate turned all the way clockwise and it's not enough. The bike runs but backfires thru the carb when you rev up the motor. I did the LED timing and it seems like it needs to be advance/counter clockwise more becuase the LED is still on after TDC is about an inch past the window hole. I'm going to get a Timing plug and check with a timing light..
Has any one had this problem before with the Dyna 2000? thanks Greg (Axe)

on my 117 the flywheel mark is T:F for the front cylinder

pretty sure the dynatek 2KI needs a certain pick up cup behind the ignition

should be the gold colored one

I have the 2000-I in my 107, and it is straight up. It sounds like maybe you
were on the exhaust TDC, not the compression TDC. The red light will come
on 35 degrees before TDC and go out at TDC on the compression stroke.
Try putting the T:F in the window and see if the light will go out turning
the 2000-I clockwise, if not rotate the motor one rev and then check.
I hope this helps.

gold color rotor

Hey Guy's;
Took the Dyna module out and I have the gold color rotor.
If I was on the exhaust stroke would it still run? I got a clear timing plug and will check and see what it says. The instructions say to put ALL switches to off and GROUND the VOES wire, sound right to ya'all? thanks Greg (Axe)
