Need to replace my Dyna 2000i. My question is can I mark the old unit carefully so to get the new unit in its exact place, or due I have to take it in and spend the money to Dyno tune it ? Any ideas ?
I don't any experience in with what you are replacing, however if what you are replace are identical parts just mark and replace and you should be good to go.
Thanks Marv
I have a 107 that the heads have been ported polished and decked, bigger valves and heavier springs. A more aggressive cam and a psi carb. Not sure where the compressiom ended up, but I know its up there.
Have same dyna 2ki took it out many times and replaced never had to worry it. It should be fine but if it's not it is easy to find TDC with the lights.
I think you could static tune that, and then get the curve right by playing with the dip shit switches. Try the more aggressive curve, if it runs like shit or kicks back on startup drop it back one. No need for a dyno.
Hey Mike! It's Mike! I have an 03 Mastiff. I think I rode with you last summer with Ryan S. if you need a hand let me know and I'll rally the troops we'll head out.
I just installed a ultima ignition in my 107. It is a Dyna system with a Ultima package. Even has Dyna part numbers. Came as a kit with coil and plug wires. Was cheaper than the Dyna kit. Any how install is easy and static timing was near dead on.
