Dual intake spike breathers

I am having to replace my single spike air breather and am curious what all is out there and if going dual would be better. The ones I have found all day for harley of course and look the same. Are there any out there that aren’t or have the same look as the others? Example maybe one intake is vertical n other is horizontal or the intake tubes have a twist n 1 large filter at the end.

Better hurry and get one, S&S is in the process of discontinuing the adaptor bracket for our motors. I posted a few weeks ago how I found one and a blow exhaust. Well the dual runner bracket was the wrong one, so I worked with Jennifer G from S&S to swap out the wrong bracket for the correct one. She told me the bracket I needed had been placed on discontinued parts list and the S&S part number was deleted from their system so she had to get it reinstated for her to swap out with me. Now the one I was getting was for the bagger which is Fuel injected, but I asked her would they still carry the ones for carbs and she said no, the whole dual runner line was being discontinued. She said when she found my bracket there were only a hand full left for fuel injected and carb. She said they would be starting with non production harley motors first. meaning the evo, big twin, and so on, but would keep making them for the M8. I told her that is kinda crappy that I have an S&S motor and wouldn't be able to get an S&S part for that motor. And she said that she wouldn't be surprised if they stopped making motors soon, because they aren't selling and have already cut production on them by like 20 percent.

With that being said wonder what they would replace our motors with? I personally always can tell S&S by sound a how they feel, like a 1960s muscle car with a big block that exhibits such high raw power that at idle the car rocks and fumbles. A unique masterpiece

Yeah I can see that. When other bike building companies were booming, they were making all kinds of parts and new items for these companies, like Bigdog, Ironhorse and drag racing bikes. But as the companies closed and the sport of drag racing custom made bikes has died over the years, S&S has lost a lot of business. Now they seem to trying to cater to making bolt on parts for Harley Davidson.

I wonder since they really aren't making or improving the VFI system on our fuel injected bikes, what are we to do when they stop making the VFI replacement parts? Are we going to be forced to switch over to a Harley system? And how hard or expensive is that going to be?

Greg that owned and still owns the old Gateway Big Dog has made a modified intake for the fuel injection and has one of them on a bulldog bagger...actually one of his bulldog baggers..i have seen it with my own eyes and road 150 miles along side with the bike and it performs really really well

The dual intake is about impossible to find now....you can find a used one here and there sometimes on ebay...i havent looked for the fuel injected one i just been looking for the carb ones...i actually bought one from Eric back in May...he bought a bike parts lot and that dual runner was part of it..

The oring and vent hoses are hard to find and the one i got from Eric was missing those items...i done some looking and came up with the 90 degree hose that will work and also the o ring gasket
