Downtube sticker

What product works well to remove the residual from a downtube sticker?

Pull that shitty sticker off(save the VIN # part and put it on the frame rail UNDER The seat) spray it with WD-40 and then wax the residual off the frame tube.
Buff it out and *Voila* gone forever

Want to do this on mine as well. Bike is 10 years old with the sticker still. Think it will remove with out damage to the paint? would suck to mess up paint in such a noticeable place.

I would start at the bottom left corner and gently start to peel it up. Just watch the tear zone to make sure no paint is lifting. Should come right off.

May try heating it with a hair dryer it will soften the glue a bit...
