Downtube in Way on Extension Kit

Installed a 2.5” extension kit for my forward controls on an 08 K-9. Brake side was a breeze and no issues. On clutch side the shift linkage to front is lined up with downtube so it will not shift. Tried playing with length of the extended shift rod but no luck. Any one have this issue and what did they do as it is unusable right now.

Just use a shorter spacer, between the rod and lever

I did that just now abs appears to be good. Was a little concerned in shifting with the shift linkage being at a slide angle with shorter dodger but appears to be ok.
