Don't laugh, struggling with new throttle grip install

I thought I would put on some custom billett grips for my big dog chopper.
Easy enough, right? Nope!!!!!! For the life of me, I can't get the throttle cables to stop popping off with re-install. I am beyond frustrated.
Any help is appreciated.

Did you put the little brass keepers back on the end of the cables?

Perhaps You bought the same shit as I did on E-bay, did not work , place where the brass keepers should not ok so they came loose.
Now I have another Big Dog custom grips.

Yeah if you didn't buy Big Dog specific grips then they aren't going to work.
