Turns out only 2 of them shipped so far. Me and someone else (in TX in think) and they both have problems.

Both dealers on phone with BDM trying to resolve issues.

Will post more when info available.

That thing is $250, you can by the entire Bandit clutch for $300, beefier and easy pull. I have one on my 05 Ridgeback and love it. Just my 3 cents (inflation)

Yeah it does blow...It's Friday at 5:00 in BDM rep has not called the dealers back.

FWIW - the system is not just a clutch pack, it also includes the spring plate, bearings, etc etc

I hear ya Shredder -

Lambo, this concerns me because I have the Easy Clutch waiting for me at the dealership, to put on. please post the problems they are having when you get a chance. thank god I was too sick to take the bike in to have it put on. I have a thread about the easy clutch in the "Technical" area of this site. I was asking if anyone had any experience with the new clutch, but it was/is so new, nobody had any things to report. I do know that the new
K-9's have the easy clutch installed on them, and they were so easy to pull in. I hate that there are problems cause I need the easier clutch, and I know others do to. thanks for posting this possible problem.

Rowdy - It's like any 08 - literally, a one finger pull. When installed, the first few pulls are real easy, then it goes hard. In fact, it's harder now than with my old stock one.

The good thing is BDM is good about this stuff and will pay all labor even if we go back to the old one. I"m sure they'll figure it out - the only thing is down time on the bike while they figure it out. I'm OK with that because I'm waiting on side covers and also doing some painting on the bike - so my bike is down anyway.

I'll post an update when the factory calls and tells us what to do...

I visited our local dealer recently to check it out, and there is a significant difference in pull. (Interesting that I had to point it out to the salesman.) Also, it did not feel like the pull was even across the whole range of motion - the last bit of pull, say, when it was within 1/2 of the grip, felt like the tension fell off considerably. That would make it really easy (effortless) to hold in while waiting at a light, for instance. I'm guessing there is some kind of variable cam action going on there - but that's just speculation on my part.

I doubt that I'll be changing mine. I keep the cable well lubed, like Gas Man reminds us regularly, so it feels pretty reasonable - keeps my wife from wanting to ride it. :D

Talked to Dan Wein at Big Dog this morning...he says all problems have been worked out with the "soft pull" clutch and they are starting to ship again.

Hope so...we shall see....

Looks like a "no go" on the EZ Pull. Spoke to Dan Wien also and they are still trying to work it out. They have till Fri or I'm putting the stock one back in....

If anyone else has one - please chime in.
